Two Thrun Attorneys Take MCSA Leadership Positions

We are pleased to announce that Katherine Wolf Broaddus and Meg Hackett will take leadership positions with the Michigan Council of School Attorneys (“MCSA”) for the upcoming term. Ms. Broaddus has served on the MCSA Board of Directors since 2010 and was recently elected to the position of President. She will serve a one-year term as President from 2013-2014. Meg Hackett was also appointed to the MCSA Board of Directors. She will serve a three-year term.

Ms. Broaddus and Ms. Hackett follow a long line of Thrun attorneys who have served in leadership positions with the MCSA.

The MCSA is the only statewide organization composed exclusively of attorneys representing Michigan school boards. The MCSA assists attorneys representing boards of education in Michigan by providing information and practical advice on legal issues and questions of school law. The Council publishes an annual newsletter and hosts conferences on pertinent legal issues. On January 22, 2014, the MCSA will present at the MASA Mid-Winter Conference in Grand Rapids on “Current Hot Topics in School Law.” More information is available at the MASA website,
