A Must-See Presentation for School Officials: Treasury Representatives to Address the Online Filing Process at the MSBO Annual Conference

In recent years, the Michigan Department of Treasury has moved to an online filing system for municipal finance forms, including the annual Qualifying Statement. Treasury’s new filing procedure has generated numerous questions and has resulted in some municipal forms being unnecessarily rejected due to simple, avoidable misunderstandings.

On Thursday, May 4, 2017 at 1:15pm at MSBO’s Annual Conference in Grand Rapids, representatives of Treasury’s Local Audit and Finance Division, along with a Thrun Law Firm finance attorney, will give a presentation regarding Treasury’s new online filing process.  This presentation will provide school officials an opportunity to ask questions regarding the online filing system and Treasury’s municipal finance forms in general.

The filing of these forms impacts every school business official. Attendance at this session is highly recommended.
