Bradford W. Springer joined Thrun Law Firm in 2025, bringing more than 26 years of litigation experience with him to the firm. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan and the University of Michigan Law School. Since earning his J.D. from Michigan Law School in 1998, his practice has been litigation-based. He began his career practicing as a litigation associate with a LaSalle Street law firm in Chicago, where he received intensive training. He eventually returned home to Michigan, where he has practiced exclusively since 2004.

In addition to general school law, Brad has handled a wide range of cases in state and federal courts. He has experience spanning the litigation spectrum, including cases involving elections, contracts, construction disputes, employment, civil rights, FOIA, condemnation and eminent domain, zoning, the First Amendment and other Constitutional claims, including claims under 42 U.S.C. Section 1983. Brad has routinely counseled clients on risk management and litigation avoidance. He also has significant experience as Board Counsel conducting professional third-party investigations for Boards of Education in response to complaints against board members and administrators. Brad primarily has a litigation and employment law focus for our clients throughout Michigan.

Brad is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, including its litigation section. He is also licensed in Illinois and Vermont, but he maintains an active license only in Michigan. In 2019, Brad was invited to join the ACLU Lawyers Committee for the Western Branch of Michigan, and he has served as Chairperson since 2023.

Outside of work, Brad enjoys swimming, biking, and spending time with his family and friends. He lives in West Michigan with his wife, and they are proud parents of three mostly-grown children.
