Philip G. Clark
Philip G. Clark joined Thrun Law Firm in 2015. Phil graduated from the University of Michigan (B.A., 2012) and Michigan State University College of Law (J.D., 2015, cum laude), where he was a scholarship recipient and an articles editor for the Michigan State Law Review. While attending law school, Phil clerked at the firm. He also has experience in criminal defense, prosecution, and intellectual property.
Phil is admitted to practice law in Michigan and various federal district courts. He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the American Bar Association, the Ingham County Bar Association as well as the Michigan and National Councils of School Attorneys.
His practice focuses on general school law, real estate, construction, transactions, public records disclosure laws, student issues, and municipal law. He has appeared before several courts and tribunals, most notably arguing and achieving favorable results in appellate courts. He has also presented on school and municipal law topics for individual public school clients, the Michigan Association of Superintendents & Administrators (MASA), and Michigan School Business Officials (MSBO), and the Michigan Association of Municipal Clerks (MAMC).
Originally from Metro Detroit, Phil resides in the Lansing area with his wife and their pack of four-legged friends. He is an active parishioner at St. John's Church in East Lansing. He has completed several marathons, including two in Boston. He organized the firm's first softball team. He enjoys playing ice hockey and sand volleyball, grilling on his flat iron, and remaining cautiously optimistic about Michigan football.
