Jessica E. McNamara

Jessica E. McNamara joined Thrun Law Firm in 2017. She assists public school districts, intermediate school districts, public school academies, and community colleges with student issues, special education issues, Title IX matters, and employment matters. Jessie has defended clients in state and federal courts on a variety of student, employment, and civil rights matters. She has also represented clients in a number of special education administrative hearings. Jessie regularly assists schools with all facets of Title IX, including serving as an investigator when needed.

Jessie frequently speaks on school law topics for individual public school clients and various associations. She is admitted to practice law in Michigan. She is a member of the National and Michigan Councils of School Attorneys, the Michigan Bar Association, the Ingham County Bar Association, and the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan. She is a 2022 recipient of the Top 5 Attorneys Under 35 in Ingham County.

Jessie resides in Grand Ledge with her husband, son, and two dogs. Originally from Grayling, MI, Jessie enjoys spending as much time as possible Up North on Lake Margrethe. As a University of Michigan alum, she has perfected the art of living in enemy territory. Jessie is also an avid Lions fan and honestly believes this is the year the Lions will make it to the Super Bowl.
