Piotr (“Peter”) M. Matusiak joined Thrun Law Firm in 2016. Peter graduated magna cum laude from Furman University in 2012. At Furman, Peter was a double-major in Economics and in History, a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and a member of Sigma Chi.
In 2016, Peter graduated summa cum laude from Michigan State University College of Law. In law school, Peter was Managing Editor of the Michigan State Law Review and a recipient of the jurisprudence award in various courses, including Contract Drafting, Education Law, and Labor Law (the award is for the highest “A” in a course). Peter’s paper, “Overcoming the Labyrinth: Embracing
Attorney General Mukasey’s Silva-Trevino Decision,” was published in the Michigan State Law Review in the fall of 2016.
Peter is a member of the State Bar of Michigan. His practice focuses on general school law, labor and employment law, and municipal law. Peter serves as the Employer Representative on the American Bar Association’s Subcommittee on Practice & Procedure: Unfair Labor Practices & Scope of Bargaining.
Peter resides in Howell. As a native of Warsaw, Poland, Peter is an avid follower of the Polish National Football Team. He is the catcher for the firm’s softball team.
