Donald Bonato joined the firm in 1973. He graduated from the University of Michigan (B.A., 1969) and Wayne State University Law School (J.D., magna cum laude, 1973).

He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the Ingham County Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the Michigan Council of School Attorneys.

Mr. Bonato specializes in labor and employment law. He has extensive experience in teacher tenure litigation, wrongful discharge litigation and collective bargaining. Mr. Bonato holds Martindale-Hubbell's highest AV® preeminent rating. Mr. Bonato was selected as a Super Lawyer in the employment and labor practices areas by Michigan Super Lawyers magazine in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010.
